Welcome! My name is Vanessa Todd and I’m a Learning Adviser in the Learning Skills Unit at Macquarie University, Sydney.

I’m a learner, teacher and designer. I support students though articulating the often-implicit practices in higher education: academic-, digital- and information literacies. Currently, my focus is developing online resources; however, learning takes place across multiple spaces (virtual, blended and face-to-face) so my work is never cut and dried.

Previously I’ve taught English for Academic Purposes to international students preparing for tertiary study in Australia. I’ve also worked as an IELTS examiner and test- and assessment- designer.

I tinker, experiment, sketch, imagine. I’m curious about life online; how digital can be harnessed to teach, learn and think in new ways.
